Jasmine Tookes, a model and entrepreneur, enjoys browsing real estate websites like Zillow and Redfin, as she enjoys exploring houses, interiors, and architecture. During the pandemic, she and her husband found their dream home unexpectedly while scrolling through listings. The moment they entered the house, they felt an unexplainable positive energy. Enthralled by the beautiful light, they exchanged glances and knew,
“This is the one.” They wanted it to be calming, but not boring.
FAMILY ROOM
Tookes adores when visitors enter a room and are instantly drawn to its captivating elements. In the family room, there are two distinct sets of armchairs, complemented by a bespoke green velvet sofa.
GAMING AREA
To entertain their guests, Tookes and Borrero have set up a gaming table in the living space adjacent to their family room. The furniture features special chairs with velvet-upholstered backrests and seats that complement the color scheme of the dining table.
HOME OFFICE
Tookes believes that when anyone step into her office after exploring the entire house, they immediately think, ‘This is totally Jasmine.’ The neutral tones, along with the light and airy ambiance, truly reflect her style.
DINING ROOM
The bespoke dining table features a burnished bronze sculptural base paired with bleached burl wood. Jasmine Tookes and her husband, Juan David Borrero, specifically requested a matte-finished tabletop with an irregular shape. They expressed their preference for this design, mentioning their dislike for square or long rectangular tables as they find it challenging to interact with individuals seated at the opposite end of the table.
KITCHEN
Tookes’s husband dreamed of having a black kitchen. Her personal touch comes out with the bouclé backs on these stools in an ebonized satin lacquer oil and black metal finish. The pendant light also hanging above the island.
PRIMARY BEDROOM
The primary bedroom beautifully blends Tookes and Borerro’s styles by combining light and dark elements. They were drawn to the bed and selected the surrounding suede material. Their aim was to create a welcoming and soft ambiance with a touch of lightness.
PRIMARY BATHROOM
To enhance the master bathroom, Tookes used darker marble to create a framing effect around the asymmetrical mirror he installed.
