Suede
- Vacuum your sofa to remove all dirt and dust
- Read the care label of your suede couch to determine what solution you can (and cannot) use
- For suede fabrics that permit it, utilize a damp microfiber cloth to wipe away dirt and stains
- Rub and wipe the stain on your couch
- Let it air dry

Wool
- Using a fabric brush can also help remove dirt, hair, and lint. A fabric brush is also pretty affordable and can be easily found
- If you are using a vacuum, it is suggested to use it on the lowest suction setting to avoid stretching the wool.
- Use a microfiber cloth to gently rub at the stain, rubbing around it and towards the middle.
- For stains that are more severe, it’s advised to call a professional.
Velvet
- Mix 1 tsp. natural dish soap with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. “Make sure you mix it together so there are bubbles,” Sokolowski says.
- Dip a microfiber cloth into the solution.
- Lightly blot your stain until you have removed most of it.
- Allow the cleaned area to dry for at least 30 minutes.
Genuine Leather
- Vacuum your sofa to remove all dirt and dust.
- Mix a solution of equal parts water to white vinegar in a spray bottle. Alternatively, you can use mild soapy water, made with natural liquid dish soap.
- Patch-test your sofa first if you are unsure
- Lightly spray the solution all over the couch.

- Use a clean towel to dry it.
