For Anton Zaslavski, known professionally as Zedd, a German record producer and DJ, symmetry is a source of calm, and his Encino home reflects that obsession with balance and clarity. Designed by Jae Omar, the space blends serene Japandi lines with meticulous craftsmanship, mirroring the precision Zedd brings to his music. With its harmonious layout and spa-like wellness wing, the home is a study in intentional, thoughtful design.
KITCHEN
In the kitchen with rustic oak cabinets, Zaslavski imagines himself as a local barista. He is obsessed with brewing coffee using an espresso machine for his friends seated at the bar.
DINING ROOM
Designer Omar loved the interplay of light in the dining room, which is dimmed by a 45-degree white oak entry screen and accompanied by the sound of a waterfall outside the floor-to-ceiling glass. He found it to be intimate and homely, and incredibly soothing.
PRIMARY BEDROOM
The musician’s bedroom features a custom-made interior, featuring a Mark Acetelli oil painting. His favorite piece of furniture, a Bösendorfer piano, is his dream. The sofa curves smoothly and sits on an alpaca rug, with a cocktail table in front of the fireplace.
MUSIC STUDIO
The studio features Sharon Kingston paintings, stained glass windows, and Ripple Fold curtains. There is also a striking stained glass stool, a high-pile mohair sofa, a Kyoto coffee table, a hand-knotted wool rug, and a Yamaha custom drum set.
LIVING ROOM
This is the space where everyone wishes to relax and enjoy their time. The sofa, crafted from textured linen weave, is complemented by a swivel chair, a rug made of wool and jute, and a stylish console table.
FAMILY ROOM
Zaslavski placed all the furniture in the living room and transformed the family room into a poker room for friendly poker games. The table was custom-built, complete with an antique case.
